For this swap on swapbot I had to made an ATC with a quote from my favourite movie. I chose 'An Affair to Remember' and used a gorgeous black and white image of the Empire State Building. If anyone hasn't seen it I highly recommend it. It's a brilliant soppy old romance with Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr.

My First ATC
For this swap on swapbot I had to made an ATC with a quote from my favourite movie. I chose 'An Affair to Remember' and used a gorgeous black and white image of the Empire State Building. Baby Baby
Products used: Hero Arts Clear Designs 'Playful Animals' set coloured with Prismacolor Pencils blended with Sansador, Doodlebug paper (unsure of line as bought with a load of stuff at my LSS).
The second card here is for my mum's friend. I LOVE this Penny Black stamp - how cute is the wee hedgehog baby?! Again, I used green on this to steer a bit away from the traditional blues and whites and think it worked quite well. My mum was really pleased with them as was her friend and her daughter so that was the main thing. :)
Products used: Penny Black 'Baby Hammock' stamp coloured with Prismacolor Pencils blended with Sansador, Crate Paper (again, unsure of specific line)

Long Time No See
I didn't realise quite how long it's been since I posted. I've had lots of things happening lately which have delayed me posting and you know how it is - the longer you leave something the worse it gets. Its a holiday weekend here in Glasgow so I figured there's no excuse not catching up as I have a whole four days off. :)
So - the first card here is one I made a while ago to try out a new Penny Black stamp I bought at the Craft Fair at the SECC in May. I love Penny Black Stamps, definitely my favourite.

A Card for my Aunt...
I haven't posted for a while as I've not really made any cards to post, although I've been making lots of other bits and pieces lately. I went to a beading class last week at Bead Chic in Ruthven Mews Arcade in the West End in Glasgow, so I've been in a bit of a beading frenzy. I had to make this though as my aunt had to go into hospital unexpectedly for an op. I've seen Great Impressions stamps on other blogs and thought they were lovely, so I spent the last of my meagre Grand National winnings on a few stamps from The Glitter Pot.
Products used: Scrummy Stash Cafe kit ' Aunt Gerti's Garden' by SEI, Great Impressions 'Daisy Mae' Stamp coloured with Prismacolour pencils blended with sansador. The flowers are from a tin I got from Lakeland ages ago.

My Mum's Birthday Card
I made this birthday card for my mum at the weekend. I'm trying to get out my comfort zone and try new things, so I tried to use more patterned paper on this to see how it went as I tend to have more white space on my cards. I'm also trying to use up stash before buying paper/card etc. as I have a mountain of stuff to get through, so I managed to use some old crystals I had and some lace I bought ages ago and haven't found a use for, which I thought it went quite well with the aged look the papers have. I coloured the stamped image with prismacolours, blended with sandador and paper stumps, and then highlighted the flower and stem with my H20's (it doesn't show so well on the photo). The background of the flower was done by blending in chalks that had a hint of glitter through them (again doesn't show on pic).
Products used : Basic Grey Infuse papers ' Instill', 'Suffuse' and 'Lace', Inkadinkadoo clear stamp set 'Doodle Flowers', Twinkling H20's, Pebbles Inc. Shimmer Chalks, crystals and lace from stash.

A Little Birdie Told Me...
I finally got round to playing with this stamp today, the Sugar Nellie 'Lola with Bird' from Funkykits. I also had a play with my dad's old dymo tape (circa 1980 lol) will need to replace it soon as I'm almost out of tape and the machine is getting a temperamental to say the least but its served it's time, so can't complain. :)
Products used: 'Lola with Bird' Sugar Nellie stamp, Sassafras Lass' Serendipity - Blue Boutique 'Crimson Dots' paper, prismacolour pencils (blended with sansador and paper stumps), dymo labelling tape.

We've all got to start somewhere...
Well, I'm finally getting round to my first post. Took a while though. First all my camera batteries were dead and by the time I charged them I'd been barred as blogger though this was a spam blog (presumably because of the delay between signing up and actually getting round to doing anything with it lol). It's now been unblocked and my batteries are charged, so here goes...This first photo is of a card I made with my new Penny Black Beach Hammock stamp. I loved the stamp when I saw it in my local craft shop but didn't have a clue what I'd use it for but bought it anyway (of course lol). I'm pleased with how it turned out and got the chance to use my new Prismacolour pencils for the first time. Any suggestions for other sentiments to go with it are greatly appreciated, as all I could think of were 'relax' and 'take it easy' . :) Thanks for looking.
Products used: Penny Black Beach Hammock rubber stamp, prismacolour pencils (blended with sansador and paper stumps), Basic Grey Phoebe paper 'Ashbury Street'.
